Parish Announcements Your prayers are still needed while our appeal is under review.. Offer up all your little daily sufferings and trials; in imitation of Mary, be a willing and loving handmaid of the Lord to those around you; in imitation of Jesus, make some sacrifice of self-denial. Pray the Rosary as a family each night. May this time of waiting become a time of grace for all those involved. In prayerful appreciation for the spiritual support from everyone at St. Mary, the pilgrims of Fatima wish to thank all of you for being with us in the spirit of this holy journey to Mary’s Shrine in Portugal. Choir Practice for Christmas will be held on Thu, Nov. 20 & Dec. 4, 11, 18 at 7 p.m. For the eighth year the Church of St. Mary will participate in Operation Christmas Child. The program sends shoe boxes filled with gifts to children anywhere in the world there is poverty, war or disaster, including the United States. These boxes bring joy, hope, and the message of God’s love to children and their families. To participate, please choose a boy or girl ages 2 to 4, 5 to 9, or 10 to 14 and closely follow the directions in the brochure accompanying our bulletin. Be sure to fill out the boy or girl tag on the back of the brochure, tape it to your shoe box, and secure the box with a rubber band. If you wrap the box, be sure to wrap the top and bottom separately. Operation Christmas Child asks that a donation of $7 be included with the box. If, however, you cannot afford the seven dollars, please send a box anyway. Boxes must be delivered to our church by Sun, Nov. 16. A new class for altar servers will begin in December.
